Be Our Guest!

Tonight's 15: Having overnight guests? Where are they sleeping? Do you have enough sheets, blankets, pillows and towels? Tonight, do an inventory of what you have and what you need. Again, consider borrowing instead of buying. Then stock up the guest bedroom and bathroom - get it done and forget about it! Make room in the closet and a drawer. If they're staying for the weekend, what activities are in your area? Have some ideas ready to entertain everyone so you can enjoy their visit, too!

Let's Talk Trash!

Ok, so it's garbage night and you finally get someone to empty the trash can...but have all the wastebaskets been emptied? Let's make garbage night a chore for everyone...not just mom. Everyone empties their wastebasket and recyclables from their room, bathroom, office, whatever. Don't forget the laundry room! While we're at it, let's get rid of everything! Take this time to empty the fridge of all expired foods, unused leftovers and those things that have gone bad. One simple guideline my mom always said "When in doubt, throw it out!" While we're at it, let's give the freezer a once over- really quickly. Now, all the garbage is out of the house, the garbage trucks will whisk it away tomorrow and you have a clean slate! How lovely! : D

What lurks beneath...

Okay, the bathroom sink can be tricky, especially when you have a great amount of space like my client below does.  It's easy to "pop" everything right under there.  What am I going to say?  Right! If you can't see everything you have, you certainly can't be using it and you may be buying duplicates.  This is a guest bathroom so my client didn't really need to have so many things under this sink.  I know, when the space is so big, it's tempting. What am I going to say? Right! (Your getting good at this.) Just because you have the space doesn't mean you have to fill it!!!! A lot of these things went to the master bath because she didn't have the things she needed in there...one less shopping trip.  Most of the cleansers were returned to the kitchen and now there's plenty of space for her guests to store there own toiletries during their awesome visits with my client!
